Interwoven Polished Nickel Grille - 5mm Reeded Wire 25mm Square - Made to Order

This interwoven square decorative grille is hand woven from 5mm reeded flat wire with a hole aperture of 25mm (between parallel wires).

This grille is made from solid brass then plated in a nickel finish.

(This grille is also available in stainless steel which has a similar but more matt appearance and is lower cost and quicker in timescale, than plated brass.)

This item is made to order to your requested dimensions.

Once woven, the edges are soldered to secure the weave.

This high quality grille is ideal for use in radiator covers, cabinet and door inserts, custom ventilation and general interior screening.

• Maximum size available: 1800mm x 900mm
• Made by hand to required size. Cannot be cut by customer or this will remove the soldered edges of the weave.

Additional Information - General Technical, Construction and Fitting (Applicable to all made to order brass and stainless steel interwoven grille types):

• Symmetry / Alignment: Interwoven grilles are manufactured symmetrically about the horizontal and vertical centre lines. Same design grilles will therefore pattern match when fitted adjacent to each other along the same centre line (when manufactured on the same order).
• Displayable Sides: This product has only one displayable facing side.
• Sizing: Your decorative grille will be manufactured to the size requested. We do not add any additional amount to fix through at the edges to secure behind your opening. You will need to include this in your required dimensions. (We would recommend approx. 10 to 15mm all around, in a typical application.)
• Size Tolerances: Grilles are manufactured to a tolerance of +/- 2mm per supplied dimension.
  PLEASE NOTE that grilles ordered without a backing mesh can concertina slightly before installation. Simply tap the contracted side gently until you have reset the height and width.
• Depth: The depth of this grille at the edge, is approx. 3mm.
• Installation: To install, simply use a small screw and washer though the backing mesh at the rear edge, at approx. 40mm intervals. There is no need to rebate the grille behind the opening unless the rear will be visible and you wish to provide a neater finish. You may however, fit how you wish. No fixings, beading or framing is supplied. Grille edges are left as "raw" cut edges and are not intended for display.
• Construction: Interwoven grilles are hand woven and fixed with solder at the edges to secure the weave. If a backing mesh is chosen, this will be attached by solder to the rear but in some circumstances glued depending on the metals chosen.
  Finishes Note: Some finishes are applied by hand and therefore some variation in shade may occur from our images, samples and orders placed at different times.
• Clear Lacquering: Natural brass grilles are sprayed with a fine clear lacquer to resist tarnishing and maintain appearance unless specifically requested otherwise. (This can be noted in the Comments box of our order form)
